What Makes Us Different?Below are a few examples of what differentiates the Blue Dog Research Forum from other organizations: AudienceWhile other organizations may focus on the Executive branch or grassroots efforts, BDRF is geared to fundamental issues facing the nation – on which Congress has the responsibility to act. ParticipantsBDRF actively seeks and prides itself on involvement from all sectors. Our programs provide an avenue through which Members of Congress, candidates, academic experts, not-for-profit representatives, associations, unions and corporations can participate in thoughtful discussion and debate on federal issues relevant to the wellbeing of the Nation. BipartisanBDRF strives to achieve bipartisan involvement from the beginning of our activities, not simply through a distribution of information. The Forum believes that to deal with our nation’s challenges, politics must be set aside, people from across the political spectrum must come together, and all ideas must be on the table, including those of the philosophical center. ProgramsBDRF programs do not promote the agenda of specific members or organizations. The focus is on featuring speakers with experience, with an aim toward the national good – regardless of where that might lead in terms of discussion or policy. The Forum strives to approach the national debate with a common sense perspective by focusing on constructive, evidence-based solutions and opinions to current federal issues. |
